Learning Objectives and Strategy.

 

At the beginning of my research internship at Partners-Jordan, I developed my main goals with corresponding objectives that I wish to accomplish by the end of my internship experience.  The following document outlines my desired goals and objectives.  After completing my internship, I have successfully accomplished my goals in some respect.  I have had a truly rewarding experience.

Objectives

  • Working with one of the Jordanian NGOs which committed to advance civil society, to promote mediation, to manage conflict and culture of change, and to encourage citizen’s participation in Jordan's social and political development.

  • Ensure that the implementation of project activities corresponds to the terms of reference stated in the agreements, project proposal and budgets signed with the donor

    • Full reporting of the project

    • preparing post event report 

    • Attend meeting and planning sessions

    • Assist in proposal writing

 

Goals

  • Supporting civil society in project implementation and writing up minutes of meetings.

  • Analyze and interpret in family mediation and youth and women's leadership.

  • Identify the local government reform.

  • Monitoring local institution work in correspondence with minorities, environmental and awareness. 

During the summer of 2014 I had the opportunity to serve on a non-profit organization in Jordan-Amman with Partners-Jordan. While in Jordan I was trained at the office, and also I had the opportunity to travel to couple of the rural areas running an advocacy plan which will focus on educating community members in engagement with local communities and elected officials.. I also gained many skills such as facilitating strategic meetings and helping to conduct the advocacy campaign.
